Dream-Racer

Technology Description:

Dream-Racer uses motion sensors to control the speed and direction of a radio controlled racing car or boat.

Unlike conventional joy-sticks, the motion sensors can be mounted in a piece of clothing, such as a cap, so that individuals with severe upper limb trauma, lost limbs, or restricted movement can use simple head movements to control their racing car.

Excitim has partnered with the inventor to commercialise the technology and make it available for use by children and young adults with physical disabilities and special needs caused by illnesses such as cerebral palsy.
