Assistive Technology Repair Service
Excitim offers an out-of-warranty repair service to special needs schools, service providers and individual assistive technology users.
Usually we can repair switches if they:
- no longer work reliably
- stick when pressed
- have damaged leads
- have poor quality sound play-back
All you need to do is send them to us or we can arrange collection if that is more convenient. We will email you a detailed quotation, within three days, listing the repair work and parts needed to restore them to an "as-new" condition.
Expect savings of 50-60% of new replacement costs.
These schools have already used our services and several are repeat customers:
- Blackfriars (Newcastle-under-Lyme)
- Park Lane (Macclesfield)
- Ivy House (Derby)
- St Roses (Stroud)
- Abbey Court (Gillingham)
- Kemball (Stoke)
- Castle Primary (Portchester)

We also repair joysticks, tracker-balls, Scan4 and 4Talk4 communication devices produced by Traxsys Input Products.
Some users may associate these products with different company names including Penny & Giles or Esterline. Rest assured, Traxsys Input Devices evolved from these earlier companies and is now part of Ametek Inc., Aerospace and Defense Division.
Feel free to contact us if you have faulty equipment supplied by Penny & Giles or Esterline as it is likely we will still be able to repair it.
