Switch Adapted and Assistive Technology Products
Excitim is a leader in the development of switch adapted and assistive technology products designed for individuals with physical disabilities and special learning needs.
Products designed for the mass market appeal are frequently unsuitable for use by paraplegic or quadrapeligic individuals or, for example, someone with a cerebral palsey condition.
Excitim seeks to change this by producing switch adapted and assistive technology products based around existing commercial products or designing something completely new.
The portfolio of products has steadily increased since the commercial launch of Dream-Racer, a switch adapted radio controlled car at Naidex 2007 and new includes:
Fun Products:
Dream-Racer - switch adapted radio controlled car
Dream-Gamer - swithc adapted PlayStation controller
Dream-Toys - switch adapted musical plush toys
Technical Products:
Domino-IR and Domino-EPG - large button programmable infra-red remotes
Dream-Melody - switch control system for Soundbeam equipment
Dream-Mouse - switch adapted PC access
Wireless Switches - switch access without the need for wires
Service:
Switch repair service - offered to special needs schools, service providers and individuals. (Download the service description here.)
All of these applications and services are described in more detail on a separate, dedicated website called Dream-Racer.
